Edelweiss Mountain Deli
Edelweiss Mountain Deli is a place where old friends from Stowe and around the world come to connect around outdoor adventure, local food and the world’s finest beverages, many of which are produced here in Vermont. First built as a one room schoolhouse serving the Luce Hill area back in the 1830’s, the building was purchased by Mark and Marie Poor in 1940 and moved down to the present location on what was then thier farm. In 1968, the Poor Estate sold the building and land to Aldi and Ingeborg Yoerg. Over time, each successive owner shaped Edelweiss in important ways. Today, as a local institution, Edelweiss serves Stowe while honoring its historic and recent past as a place where community is built, one conversation, one sandwich or salad and one remarkable beverage at a time.
Vermont, with its agrarian past, has always cultivated a culture of innovation. This culture has nurtured some of the world’s leading family-owned and entrepreneurial success stories ranging from maple syrup to apples, cheese, bacon, distilled spirits, chocolate, beer, cider, soda, seltzer, kombucha, granola, salsa, pasta, energy bars, BBQ sauce, sriracha, shredded beef jerky and much, much more. 185 years after the one room school house was built, Edelweiss today has a mission of ensuring that you have as an authentic Vermont food and beverage experience as you’d like. At the same time, Vermont products are complemented by some of the finest specialty food and beverage products from around the world.
